Our office uses the 3D CEREC (CEeramic REConstruction) technology to create high-quality crowns for patients in just one visit. This eliminates the need for temporary crowns and a second visit. A single crown can be designed, made and placed in about 2 hours, and in some cases a little less, or a little longer!
The doctors use a digital scanner, the CEREC Primescan (the latest and best in digital scanners), to get precise digital impressions to make the crown. We use CEREC 3D software to design the crown and a milling machine to fabricate it out of high-grade porcelain. The same scanner can also be used to scan the mouth for clear aligners, surgical guides for implant placement, partial dentures, and full dentures.
The whole team has had extensive training with the CECEC technology, and are always updating their training.
